Privacy Policy

Overview

DriftMeet is an 18+ random audio, video, and text chat service. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep the product safer.

Information We Collect

We collect account information from Google sign-in, including your email address, account identifier, and display name. We also store the profile details you choose for chat, such as profile name, age, gender, and country.

We collect basic operational data such as sign-ins, page views, WebSocket connections, active user counts, match counts, reports, blocks, moderation events, device/browser metadata, and IP-derived rate-limit information.

If enabled by the operator, DriftMeet also uses Google Analytics to measure aggregated traffic information such as page visits, country, device category, and traffic source.

DriftMeet may also display sponsored placements or affiliate links. If you interact with those links, the destination merchant or network may collect information under its own terms and privacy practices.

Audio, Video, And Chat

Audio and video are designed to connect peer-to-peer using WebRTC. DriftMeet does not intentionally record calls. Text chat is relayed for the live session and is not intended as a permanent message history.

For safety, the app may sample video frames for automated sexual-content moderation. Reports, blocks, and moderation events may be retained to protect users and enforce rules.

How We Use Information

We use information to authenticate users, enforce access controls, prevent multiple active screens for the same account, match users, show high-level product stats, apply rate limits, investigate reports, and improve safety.

We may also use information to prevent fraud, secure the service, troubleshoot technical issues, operate sponsored placements, and comply with legal obligations or lawful requests.

Storage And Retention

Recent operational data is stored in Postgres. Older selected data may be archived into compressed files on the production server. Daily product stat rollups may be retained long term, while daily unique visitor/user hashes are archived after the configured retention window.

Retention periods may vary based on safety needs, abuse prevention, contractual obligations, legal compliance, backup cycles, or active disputes and investigations.

Sharing And Service Providers

DriftMeet may share data with hosting, database, analytics, authentication, moderation, anti-abuse, CDN, infrastructure, payment, or affiliate service providers when needed to operate or protect the service. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce the Terms, protect users, or investigate fraud or abuse.

Third Parties

DriftMeet uses infrastructure and service providers such as hosting, database, Redis, DNS/CDN, Google OAuth, and optional Google Analytics. These providers process data as needed to operate the service.

International Processing

DriftMeet and its service providers may process or store information in countries other than your own. By using the service, you understand that data may be transferred to and processed in those locations, subject to applicable law.

Security

DriftMeet uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure and no security measure can guarantee absolute protection.
